How do I bookmark posts, profiles, and groups?

PostSnag lets you bookmark an individual post, an entire profile, or an entire Facebook group with one click, so you can find any of them again without searching or re-scrolling. Each one gets its own bookmark flag, and everything you save shows up on one page split into three tabs: Posts, Profiles, and By group.

Bookmarking is built for quick, one-off saves, the posts, profiles, and groups you want to come back to without setting up a whole collection around them. How to bookmark a post

  1. Find the bookmark icon on any post card. Post cards show up across the dashboard: the global Posts page, a profile's own page, Discovery's example posts, a group's Posts tab, Bookmarks, and Folders.
  2. Click the bookmark icon once. It fills in to show the post is saved.
  3. Click the same icon again to remove it. It's a toggle, so there's nothing separate to undo.

Clicking the bookmark icon doesn't open the post. Clicking anywhere else on the card opens the post's detail view; the bookmark icon is a smaller, separate target so the two actions don't collide.

You can also bookmark several posts at once. Multi-select any posts on the Posts page, a profile's page, or inside a group, and the bottom action bar that appears includes a Bookmark option alongside Add to folder and the export formats.

How to bookmark a profile

Two ways to save a whole profile:

  • From a profile card, wherever one appears (the Profiles page, or a group's Profiles tab), click the bookmark icon on the card.
  • From the profile's own page, click the Bookmark button in the header. It relabels to show the profile is saved, and clicking it again removes it.

How to bookmark a group

The same mechanic extends to a whole Facebook group. Click the bookmark icon on a group's card in the Groups hub, or use the Bookmark control on the group's own page. Saving a group works the same as saving a post or a profile: click once to save, click again to remove it.

Bookmarking a group doesn't bookmark its posts or its member profiles individually, and bookmarking several posts from inside a group doesn't bookmark the group itself. Posts, profiles, and groups each carry their own bookmark flag, so save each one on purpose if you want more than one saved together.

The Bookmarks page: three tabs

Open Bookmarks in the left navigation.

  • Posts: every post you've bookmarked, across every profile and group.
  • Profiles: every profile you've bookmarked, a separate list from Posts since profile and post bookmarks don't overlap.
  • By group: every group you've bookmarked.

Switching tabs doesn't change what's bookmarked, only which saved items you're looking at. A post, a profile, and a group can all be bookmarked independently, even if they're connected to each other in your library.
