How do I filter, search, and sort a profile's posts?
Open a captured profile to filter by post type, search captions, choose Sources and a date range, and sort by engagement or Facebook's own order.

You filter, search, and sort a profile's posts from that profile's own page in PostSnag: type chips, a search box, a Sources dropdown, a Date range, and a Sort dropdown sit above the post grid, and each one narrows what's shown on screen without touching what's actually saved in your library.
Open a profile from the Profiles library, Discovery, Bookmarks, or Recent profiles to reach this view.

Header stats
Across the top: Posts (how many are currently in view, meaning it updates as you apply filters, not a fixed lifetime total), Total likes, Total comments, Total shares, and Avg / post. A Followers count also shows when Facebook reports one; it's left out entirely for profiles Facebook doesn't expose a follower count for, such as ones you've only captured from inside a group, so you never see a misleading zero.
Header actions
Export: downloads a Markdown or CSV file of whatever posts are currently filtered and visible on the page. This is a separate step from the extension's Export To Dashboard button, which is what sent the posts here in the first place: that one syncs captured posts up to your dashboard, this one downloads a file from it. The button is disabled with a tooltip if there's nothing to export yet. See How do I export a profile to a Markdown or CSV file?.
Bookmark: saves the profile, and toggles to show it's already saved.
View on Facebook: opens the real profile in a new tab. If you've filtered down to a single group's posts under Sources, this swaps to View group on Facebook and opens that group's Facebook page instead.
The ··· overflow menu repeats these and adds Delete profile, which asks you to confirm since it removes the profile and its captured posts from your library for good.
Filter, search, and sort, one at a time
Type chips: All, Video, Photo, Album, Link, Text. Reel posts are folded into the Video chip rather than getting their own, since telling a Reel apart from a regular video isn't always reliable. A post with an external link preview also matches the Link chip even when its stored type is technically a photo, so a shared article with an image still shows up when you filter to Link.
Search posts: matches a post's caption text or its author's name.
Sources: a multi-select dropdown that only appears if the profile belongs to at least one Facebook Group. Options are Personal (posts with no group attached) plus one entry per group the profile belongs to. Select any combination to see that profile's personal posts, its posts from a specific group, or both at once.
Date: Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, or All time (the default).
Sort: Facebook order (the default: pinned posts first, then newest to oldest by the post's real timestamp, which stays stable even if you re-scan the profile later), Most reactions, Most comments, or Most shares.
If nothing matches your filters, you'll see "No posts match these filters." with a nudge to reset a filter or capture more from the extension. PostSnag also quietly leaves out any saved posts Facebook now shows as unavailable, like a removed post's "This content isn't available right now" placeholder, so stale junk doesn't clutter the grid even if it was captured before Facebook pulled it.
Reading a post card
Each card in the grid shows the author's avatar and name, a relative timestamp ("today," "1 day ago," and so on), a note naming the group it was captured from if it came from one, a type pill (Video, Reel, Photo, Album, Link, or Text), the media thumbnail (with arrows and a counter for multi-image posts), the caption, and its reaction, comment, and share counts. Beyond opening the post, each card has its own quick actions: a bookmark toggle, a direct link icon to open it on Facebook, and a ··· menu with Add to folder.
Opening a post
Click anywhere else on a post card to open that post directly on Facebook in a new tab. There's no separate in-app post detail screen reachable from a card click; the card itself is the summary, and Facebook is where you read the full post and any comments on it.
Common questions
Why don't I see a Sources filter on some profiles?
It only appears for profiles you've captured from inside at least one Facebook Group. A profile with no group activity doesn't need it.
Why is a Reel showing under the Video filter instead of its own chip?
PostSnag groups Reels in with Video posts rather than giving them a separate chip, since detecting a Reel reliably isn't always possible.
Does the Export button here send posts back to my dashboard?
No. That already happened when you clicked Export To Dashboard in the extension. This Export button downloads a Markdown or CSV file of what's currently on the page.
Why is the Followers stat missing on some profiles?
Facebook doesn't report a follower count for profiles captured only from inside a group, so PostSnag leaves the stat out instead of showing a false zero.
Do the header stats change when I apply a filter?
Yes. Posts, Total likes, Total comments, Total shares, and Avg / post all reflect whatever is currently in view, so filtering to just Video posts from the last 30 days updates every number to match.
