How do I filter, search, and sort a profile's posts?

A profile's page has a header stat row plus Posts, Reels, and Analytics tabs; filter by type and time, sort by reactions, comments, or shares, and open a post for the full detail view.

PostSnag lets you filter, search, and sort any profile's posts from that profile's own page: a header stat row sits above Posts, Reels, and Analytics tabs, with filters for post type and time range and a sort for reactions, comments, or shares.

Open a profile from the Profiles page, a Discovery example post, Bookmarks, or Recent scans to reach this view.

Header stats

Across the top: total posts, total likes, total comments, total shares, and average engagement per post. A follower count shows too, when Facebook reports one; it's left out for profiles Facebook doesn't expose a follower count for, such as ones you've only captured from inside a group, so you never see a misleading zero.

Header actions

  • Export: opens the Export dropdown, with all four formats, Data-Markdown, Data-CSV, Data + media (.zip), and Media only (.zip), scoped to whatever posts are currently filtered and visible on this profile. Large exports run in the background and notify you in-app and by email when they're ready. See How do I export a profile, and what are the formats?
  • Bookmark: saves the profile, and relabels to show it's already saved. See How do I bookmark posts, profiles, and groups?
  • View on Facebook: opens the real profile in a new tab.

The overflow menu on this page also offers Delete profile. See Recent scans: what is the difference between remove and delete? for exactly what that removes.

Posts, Reels, and Analytics tabs

  • Posts: this profile's captured posts, filterable and sortable as described below.
  • Reels: the same browsing, filtering, and sorting, scoped to just this profile's reels.
  • Analytics: this profile's own performance breakdown: its most viral post, its top posts by reactions, comments, and shares, content mix, posting activity, reel durations, share rate, cadence, and best time to post. See How do I read a profile's Analytics?

Filtering by type and time

  • Type: filter to All, Video, Photo, Album, Link, or Text.
  • Date: Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, or All time.

Sorting

Switch between Most reactions, Most comments, and Most shares to bring the posts that pulled the most of each to the top.

Searching within a profile

The search box matches a post's caption text, so you can jump straight to a post about a specific topic without scrolling the whole grid.

Reading a post card

Each card in the grid shows the post's type, its media, its caption, a relative timestamp, and its reaction, comment, and share counts, along with a note naming the group it was captured from if it came from one. A bookmark icon and an Add to folder option sit on every card too.

Opening a post: the post-detail view

Click a post card to open it in an in-app detail view rather than jumping straight to Facebook. It shows the post's caption, its format, whether it came from a profile or a group, when it went out, and whether it's already saved to your library, with a one-tap link to open the original on Facebook when you want it.

Common questions

Does clicking a post take me straight to Facebook?

No. It opens an in-app post-detail view first, with the caption, format, source, timing, and saved status, plus a one-tap link if you want to see it on Facebook.

What shows on a profile's header stats?

Total posts, total likes, total comments, total shares, average engagement per post, and a follower count when Facebook reports one.

Why might the follower count be missing?

Facebook doesn't report a follower count for profiles captured only from inside a group, so PostSnag leaves the stat out instead of showing a false zero.

Can I sort by comments or shares, not just reactions?

Yes. Sort switches between Most reactions, Most comments, and Most shares.

What's on a profile's Analytics tab?

That profile's own performance breakdown: its most viral post, top posts by reactions, comments, and shares, content mix, posting activity, durations, and best time to post. See How do I read a profile's Analytics?
