What's the difference between cancelling and refunding?
Cancelling stops future PostSnag charges but keeps access until the paid period ends. A refund returns your money and ends access right away.

Cancelling and refunding solve two different problems on PostSnag. Cancelling stops your subscription from renewing again, but you keep access until the period you already paid for runs out. Refunding returns the money from your first payment and ends your access right away. Doing one doesn't automatically do the other.
Which one you want depends on what you're actually trying to accomplish: stop paying going forward, or get money back on what you already paid.
Cancelling: stop future charges, keep access until the period ends
Cancelling turns off auto-renewal. You keep full Pro or Lifetime access through the end of your current paid period, then your account reverts to Free. No money is returned.
There's no cancel button inside PostSnag's settings today. To cancel:
Find a receipt or renewal email from Lemon Squeezy in the inbox you used for your PostSnag account.
Open the customer portal link inside that email and cancel from there, or
Email support@postsnag.com and ask support to cancel it for you.
Cancelling doesn't touch anything you've already captured. Your posts, Bookmarks, and Folders stay exactly as they are; only Free's limits apply once the paid period ends. See How do I cancel my PostSnag subscription? for the full walkthrough.
Refunding: get your first payment back, access ends right away
Refunding returns your first payment on Pro or Lifetime, in full, if you request it within 14 days of paying. Access ends immediately once the refund is issued, and your account reverts to Free right away, not at the end of a billing period.
To request one, email support@postsnag.com or use the Contact form on postsnag.com, within 14 days of your first payment. Refunds are processed by Lemon Squeezy back to your original payment method. See What is the refund policy, and how do I request a refund? for the complete process and timing.
Cancel vs refund, at a glance
Cancel: stops future renewals. Access continues until the paid period ends. No money back. Available anytime.
Refund: returns your first payment. Access ends immediately. Must be requested within 14 days of that payment.
Which one do you want?
A few common situations and what they call for:
"I want to stop being charged, but I don't mind using what I already paid for." Cancel. Your access continues until the period ends.
"I just paid and changed my mind right away." Refund, as long as you're within 14 days of your first payment.
"I've been on Pro for a few months and want out." Cancel. The 14-day refund window on your first payment has already passed, so there's nothing left to refund; cancelling stops it from renewing again.
"I want both: stop future charges and get this first payment back." You can do both. See below.
Can you cancel and refund at the same time?
Yes, as long as you're still within the 14-day window on your first payment. Email support@postsnag.com and ask for both. If you're refunding a Pro subscription, mention in the same email that you'd also like it cancelled so it doesn't attempt to renew again; a Lifetime purchase has no renewal to cancel, since it's a one-time payment.
Common questions
If I cancel, do I get my money back?
No. Cancelling on its own doesn't return any money. You'd need to separately request a refund within the 14-day window on your first payment.
If I cancel, do I lose access right away?
No. You keep access through the end of the period you already paid for.
Can I cancel and request a refund at the same time?
Yes. If you're still inside the 14-day window on your first payment, email support and mention you'd like a refund along with the cancellation.
Is there a cancel button in my PostSnag settings?
No. Cancel through the Lemon Squeezy customer portal link in your receipt email, or by emailing support@postsnag.com.
Does a refund automatically cancel my subscription too?
A refund ends your access immediately and reverts your account to Free. If you're refunding a Pro subscription, say so explicitly in your request so support also cancels it and it doesn't attempt to renew.
