PostSnag offers a 14-day money-back guarantee on your first payment for Pro or Lifetime. Request it within 14 days of paying, no explanation required, and PostSnag refunds it in full through Lemon Squeezy, its payment processor.

The guarantee covers your first payment only. It doesn't automatically extend to renewal charges, though support will still look into those on request. Here's exactly what's covered, how to request a refund, and what happens to your account afterward.

What the guarantee covers

  • Your first payment on Pro (monthly) or Lifetime (one-time). Either plan qualifies; it doesn't matter which one you chose.

  • A 14-day window from the date you paid, not 14 days from when you ask. If your first payment was on the 1st, you have until the 15th to request a refund.

  • No explanation required. A simple request within the window is enough; you don't need to justify it.

There's nothing to refund on the Free plan, since it costs $0.

What the guarantee does not cover

The 14-day guarantee is specifically for your first payment. It doesn't automatically cover:

  • Renewal charges. If you've been on Pro for two or three months and a later renewal doesn't sit right with you, that charge isn't automatically refundable under this guarantee. Email support@postsnag.com and it'll be reviewed in good faith, but it isn't guaranteed the way a first payment is.

  • Requests made after the 14-day window on your first payment, even by a day or two.

  • A change of mind about cancelling, which is a separate action from refunding. See What's the difference between cancelling and refunding? if you're deciding which one you actually want.

How to request a refund

  1. Email support@postsnag.com from the email address on your account, or use the Contact form on postsnag.com.

  2. Say you'd like a refund, and include the plan you're on (Pro or Lifetime) and roughly when you paid. You don't need to explain why, but these details help support process it faster.

  3. Send it within 14 days of your first payment. Requests after that window aren't automatically covered.

  4. Watch for a reply. Support typically responds within one business day.

Support processes eligible requests directly. There's no separate form or self-serve refund button in the dashboard or the Lemon Squeezy customer portal.

How the refund is processed

Refunds go through Lemon Squeezy, PostSnag's payment processor and merchant of record, back to your original payment method. PostSnag typically approves the request within a few business days. After that, how long it takes to show up on your statement depends on your bank or card, often another 5 to 10 business days.

What happens after a refund

Once a refund is issued, your paid access ends immediately, not at the end of a billing period. Your account reverts to Free right away, with Free's usual limits (3 profile scans a week, 30 posts per profile per scan). Any posts you already captured and sent to your dashboard stay saved to your account; a refund changes your plan, not your captured data. See What happens to my captured data if I downgrade or cancel? for the full breakdown.

Before you file a chargeback

If a charge looks wrong, email support first rather than disputing it directly with your bank or card issuer. A chargeback can lock your account while the dispute is investigated, and support can usually resolve a billing question faster and without that disruption.

Common questions

Are renewal payments covered by the money-back guarantee?
Not automatically. The guarantee applies to your first payment only. If a renewal charge was unexpected or unwanted, email support@postsnag.com and it'll be reviewed in good faith.

Do I need a reason to request a refund?
No. Requests within the 14-day window on a first payment are honored without an explanation.

Can I get a refund on the Free plan?
No, there's nothing to refund since Free costs $0.

How long does the refund take to reach my account?
PostSnag approves eligible requests within a few business days. After that, your bank or card issuer typically takes another 5 to 10 business days to post it.

What's the difference between requesting a refund and just cancelling?
Cancelling stops future charges but doesn't return money you've already paid. A refund returns your first payment and ends access right away. See What's the difference between cancelling and refunding?
