How do I upgrade to Pro or Lifetime?

To upgrade to Pro or Lifetime, open Settings in your PostSnag dashboard, scroll to Plans & pricing, and choose the plan you want. Checkout runs on a secure Lemon Squeezy page, and your upgrade applies across the dashboard and extension within a minute or two of paying.

Upgrade from Settings

1. Sign in to your PostSnag dashboard at app.postsnag.com.

2. Click your account menu in the top right and select Settings.

3. Scroll down to the Plans & pricing section, subtitled "Pick the tier that fits how much you capture."

4. Review the three plan cards (Free, Lifetime, Pro) and click Start Pro or Get Lifetime on the one you want.

5. You're redirected to a Lemon Squeezy checkout page with your email and name already filled in from your PostSnag account. Enter your payment details and complete the purchase.

6. Once payment goes through, your account is upgraded. The Settings page reflects it immediately; the extension may take a minute or two to catch up (see below).

If you're not signed in when you click a plan link from somewhere else, like an email or a support reply, PostSnag sends you to log in first, then straight on to checkout, so you don't lose your place.

Upgrade from the extension

The panel itself prompts you to upgrade the moment a Free limit applies, right above the Export To Dashboard button: "You've used all 3 free scans this week." with a Go Pro for unlimited scans link, or "Your free plan saved the first 30 posts of this profile." with a Go Pro to keep every post link. Either one leads to the same Pro and Lifetime checkout as Settings. See What's included in the Free plan? for exactly when each notice appears.

Completing checkout

Checkout happens entirely on Lemon Squeezy's own page, not inside PostSnag. Lemon Squeezy is PostSnag's payment processor and merchant of record, so PostSnag never sees or stores your full card details, only that a payment succeeded and for which plan. Your email and name carry over automatically so you don't have to retype them.

After you upgrade

Your new plan applies across both the dashboard and the extension. The dashboard reflects it as soon as payment clears. The extension can lag a minute or two behind, because it checks and caches your plan status locally rather than confirming it on every action. If the panel still shows free-plan notices right after paying:

1. Close the panel and reopen it.

2. Confirm you're signed into the extension with the same account you just upgraded, not a different email or a second PostSnag account.

3. If limits are still showing after a few minutes, sign out and back in to force a refresh.

Posts you'd already captured past the Free cap don't need to be recaptured. Reopen the profile and click Export To Dashboard again, and PostSnag syncs whatever it had already captured locally beyond the 30-post limit.

Already on Pro and want Lifetime instead?

You upgrade further from Pro to Lifetime the same way you upgraded to Pro in the first place: Settings > Plans & pricing, then Get Lifetime. PostSnag doesn't advertise an automatic credit for what you've already paid on Pro, so if that matters to you, email support@postsnag.com and ask before buying Lifetime outright. Common questions

Do I need to reinstall the extension after upgrading?
No. Close and reopen the panel, or sign out and back in, and your new plan takes effect on its own.

Why does the extension still show free-plan limits right after I pay?
It usually just needs a minute to sync your updated plan status. Close and reopen the panel; contact support if the limits are still showing after that.

Is the Lemon Squeezy checkout page secure?
Yes. Lemon Squeezy is PostSnag's payment processor and merchant of record, and PostSnag never sees or stores your full card details.

Can I upgrade directly from the extension panel, without going to the dashboard?
Yes. The Go Pro links in the panel's free-plan notices lead to the same checkout as Settings > Plans & pricing.

Will upgrading bring in posts I already scrolled past on Free?
Yes, without rescanning. Open the profile again and click Export To Dashboard, and PostSnag sends up whatever it already captured beyond the Free cap.
