How do I sign in to PostSnag (extension and dashboard)?
Sign in to PostSnag with email and password or Continue with Google, from the dashboard or the extension panel; one sign-in works on both.

Signing in to PostSnag takes your email and password, or Continue with Google, from either the dashboard's login page or the extension panel, and both check the same account, so one sign-in covers you everywhere.
Facebook login is not supported
A Log in with Facebook button sits right next to Log in with Google on the dashboard's login screen, but it's disabled: it's dimmed and doesn't respond to clicks. Don't rely on it. PostSnag only supports email and password, or Continue with Google, and it never asks for your Facebook password through any sign-in method.
Sign in from the dashboard
Go to the PostSnag login page, titled "Welcome Back," subtitled "Enter your credentials to access your account."
Click Log in with Google, or enter your Email address and Password (there's an eye icon to show or hide what you've typed).
Click Login.
If you forgot your password, click Forgot password? on this same page instead of guessing at it. See How do I reset or change my password?

Sign in from the extension
The PostSnag toolbar icon behaves differently depending on where you are and whether you're already signed in:
If you're signed in and sitting on a facebook.com tab, clicking the icon opens the full on-page panel directly, no popup in between.
If you're signed out, whether you're on Facebook or any other tab, clicking the icon opens a small popup instead, showing the same "Welcome Back to PostSnag" sign-in screen.
Enter your email and password, or choose Continue with Google, from that screen.
The panel briefly shows "Setting things up..." ("PostSnag is preparing your library. This usually takes a few seconds.") before your account loads.
Once you're signed in, open a facebook.com tab and click the icon again to get the full panel instead of the popup. Both the popup and the panel read from the same sign-in state, so whichever one you use to sign in, the other reflects it right away. See Why does the PostSnag icon open a small popup instead of the panel? for the full breakdown of when each one shows up.
One sign-in, everywhere
Signing in on the extension signs you in on the dashboard too, and the other way around. Both surfaces check the same stored login, so within a moment of signing in on one, the other updates on its own. You don't need to sign in twice on purpose; if you're ever asked to sign in a second time right after the first, give it a second or two before trying again.
Signing in on a new browser profile or a new computer
Because your PostSnag account isn't tied to a browser install, you can sign in with the same email and password, or the same Google account, on a second Chrome profile, a work laptop, or after reinstalling Chrome entirely. There's nothing to transfer and no account key to copy over; sign in, and your dashboard, Bookmarks, and Folders show up exactly as they were. See Can I use PostSnag on multiple devices or with my team? for more on how that works day to day.
Staying signed in
Your session refreshes itself automatically in the background, so you generally don't have to sign in over and over. Occasionally, in situations like going a long time without opening PostSnag, clearing your browser's site data, or a network hiccup at the exact moment a refresh was due, that automatic refresh can fail, which signs you out rather than leaving the extension in a broken state. If that happens, sign back in; nothing you've already captured or exported is affected. See Why was I signed out unexpectedly? for more.
Common questions
Can I sign in with Facebook?
No. The Facebook sign-in option is visible but disabled everywhere in PostSnag. Use email and password, or Continue with Google.
If I sign in on the dashboard, do I also need to sign in on the extension?
No. One sign-in covers both, usually within a moment.
What if I forgot my password?
Click Forgot password? on the login page. See How do I reset or change my password?
I don't have an account yet. What do I do?
Create one first. See How do I create a PostSnag account?
Why did clicking the PostSnag icon open a small popup instead of the panel?
That happens when you're signed out, or when you're not on a facebook.com tab. Sign in, open a Facebook page, and click the icon again.
