How do I get started on my first day?

PostSnag walks every new account through a guided tour, a getting-started checklist, and a short welcome video, so you know exactly where to click on day one.

The guided tour

The first time you open the PostSnag dashboard, a short guided tour highlights the main areas: Recent Profiles, the Discovery feed, Bookmarks, and the Posts page. Click through it once, or skip it and revisit it later from the help menu.

The getting-started checklist

A checklist tracks the handful of things new accounts typically do first: install the extension, capture your first profile, view your first export, and explore Discovery. Checking items off is optional. It exists to orient you, not to gate anything.

The welcome video

A short welcome video walks through the extension and dashboard together: how scroll-to-scrape capture works, where captured data lands, and how to move from a raw capture to a filtered export.

Breadcrumb navigation

Breadcrumbs at the top of the dashboard show where you are at all times, so it is easy to move between a profile, its posts, and your export history without losing your place.

If you want to explore before capturing anything

The Discovery feed and Bookmarks are visible even before you capture your first profile, so you can look around and get a feel for the dashboard before scrolling through a Facebook profile with the extension.

Your first real steps

• Install the PostSnag Chrome extension and sign in.

• Open a public Facebook profile and scroll to capture posts.

• Open the dashboard and find that profile under Recent Profiles.

• Sort or filter the captured posts on the Posts page.

• Export the data in the format you need.

Common questions

Do I have to finish the checklist?

No. It is a guide, not a requirement. Nothing in the dashboard is locked behind it.

Can I watch the welcome video again later?

Yes, it stays available from the help menu at any time.

Does the tour reappear if I refresh the page?

No, it shows once per account. You can restart it manually from the help menu.

What if I already captured a profile before seeing the tour?

That is fine. The tour and checklist are informational and do not depend on the order you do things in.

Is any of this required to use PostSnag?

No. You can ignore the tour, checklist, and video entirely and use the extension and dashboard normally.
