Breadcrumb navigation then keeps you oriented as you move around, always showing exactly where you are.

None of this replaces capturing your own posts. It is the on-ramp to your first real capture, not a substitute for it.

The first time you sign in, PostSnag walks you through the dashboard with a short guided tour: what the sidebar areas do, where your captured posts will land, and where to go next. It is built for someone who has never opened PostSnag before, so it favors a quick orientation over a deep explanation of any one area. The getting-started checklist

Alongside the tour, a getting-started checklist tracks the core setup steps so you can see at a glance what is done and what is left: things like adding the extension, opening your first Facebook profile, scrolling to capture it, and sending it to your dashboard with Export To Dashboard. The welcome video

A short welcome video introduces PostSnag on day one: what it captures, how the extension and dashboard work together, and what to try first. It is built to be watched in a couple of minutes, not studied, so treat it as an orientation, not a manual.

Wherever you go in the dashboard, breadcrumbs at the top show exactly how you got there, for example All groups, then the group you opened, then the profile you clicked into from inside it. Click any part of the trail to jump straight back, instead of hunting for a back button or starting over from the sidebar. This matters most once you are a few levels deep, inside a group, inside a profile, inside a single post, where it would otherwise be easy to lose track of how you got there.

Your first real steps

Once you are past the tour, the checklist and this article point at the same five steps:

  1. Add PostSnag to Chrome and pin it to your toolbar.
  2. Sign in with your email and password, or Continue with Google.
  3. Open any public Facebook profile, Page, or group.
  4. Scroll to capture, and watch the Collected count climb in the panel.
  5. Click Export To Dashboard, then open Overview to see it land.

Common questions

Do I have to finish the checklist before I can use PostSnag?

No. The checklist is a guide, not a gate. You can capture a profile, open Overview, or explore any part of the dashboard at any point, whether or not every item on the checklist is done.

Can I skip the guided tour?

Yes. It is there to orient you, not to require anything from you, and skipping it does not limit anything else in PostSnag.

Does watching the tour or checking off the checklist use up one of my Free plan scans?

No. A scan only happens when you actually scroll a profile, Page, or group to capture it. Exploring the tour, the checklist, or the dashboard itself never counts against your Free plan's scan total.

Where do breadcrumbs show up?

Anywhere you are nested more than one level deep, most noticeably inside Groups, where they track your path from the Groups hub down to a specific group and then a specific profile inside it.
