How do I read a profile's Analytics?

Every profile you capture has its own Analytics tab: most viral post, top posts by reactions, comments, and shares, content mix, posting patterns, and best time to post.

PostSnag's Analytics tab lives on every profile you've captured, and it breaks that one creator's performance down in depth: their most viral post, their top posts by reactions, comments, and shares, their content mix, posting activity by day, reel durations, share rate, posting cadence, go-to format, and their best time to post, with a plain-language takeaway attached. There's no standalone "Analytics" item in the left-hand sidebar anymore; profile-level analytics live here, on the profile itself, and library-wide analytics live on Overview.

Where to find it

Open any profile from your Profiles library or from a search, and you'll land on that profile's own page with three tabs: Posts, Reels, and Analytics. Click Analytics to see everything below, scoped to that one creator alone.

Most viral post, and top posts by reactions, comments, and shares

At the top of the tab sits that profile's single most viral post, the one that performed best overall against the rest of that creator's own library. Below it, three separate rankings break the same library down by one number at a time: top posts by reactions, top posts by comments, and top posts by shares, so you can see whether a creator's biggest hits are winning on volume, conversation, or reach.

Content mix

A chart showing the split between reels, photos, albums, links, and text for that one profile, so you can see at a glance whether a creator leans almost entirely on one format or spreads their posting across several.

Posting activity by day

A day-by-day view of when that profile actually posts, based on each post's real publish date on Facebook, not the day you happened to capture it.

Common durations and long-versus-short reels

For a profile with a reel-heavy library, Analytics also breaks down the reel lengths that show up most often, and how that profile's reels split between long and short. These two sections naturally have more to show on a profile that posts a lot of reels than on one that rarely does.

Share rate and posting cadence

Share rate shows how much of that profile's overall engagement comes from shares specifically, one of the harder actions to earn next to a like or a comment. Posting cadence shows how many posts per week that creator is putting out on average, a quick read on how active they are.

Go-to format

Whichever single post type that profile relies on most, called out on its own so it's easy to spot without reading the full content mix chart.

Best time to post

Not just when that profile posts most, but when its posts actually land hardest, with a plain-language takeaway that spells out the difference. A creator's busiest posting hour and their best-performing hour aren't always the same one, and this is where that gap shows up.

Common questions

Where did the Analytics link in the sidebar go?

It's not a standalone sidebar item anymore. A single profile's analytics live on that profile's own Analytics tab, next to its Posts and Reels tabs. For analytics across your whole library instead of one creator, use Overview.

What counts as a profile's "most viral" post?

The single post from that creator's own library that performed best overall, distinct from the separate reactions, comments, and shares leaderboards below it.

Can I compare profiles' Analytics side by side?

Not on the Analytics tab itself, since it's scoped to one profile at a time. Use Compare to line up to three profiles' breakdowns next to each other. See How do I compare profiles side by side?

Why don't I see much in the reel duration charts for a photo-heavy profile?

Those sections are built around reels, so a profile that rarely posts reels naturally won't have much to show there. They fill in as that creator posts more reels.

Is a profile's Analytics tab the same as the Overview page?
