Does Discovery share my captured data with other PostSnag users?

PostSnag's Discovery page is scoped to your own account: it studies the creators and groups you personally track, not a feed you browse of every other user's captures. The public posts behind those captures are a separate matter. Because they are the same public content anyone viewing that profile could already see, PostSnag can store and reuse that post data elsewhere within the product. Your account details, Bookmarks, and Folders are never part of that, and stay private to you no matter what.

Here is what that split means in practice: what your Discovery page actually shows you, and what happens to public post data behind the scenes.

What Discovery actually shows you

Discovery studies the posts you have captured from the profiles and groups you track and groups them into named caption and hook patterns, things like a pattern that leads with a number or a result, or a short caption that lets a post's photo or video carry it. Each pattern shows an average performance multiplier and how many of your captured posts fit it, with real example posts you can open for detail, an Adoption chart, and a Recent versus Trending toggle. You can also narrow the page to specific creators you track.

What can be reused across PostSnag

The posts you capture are public: the same captions, photos, and videos anyone visiting that profile on Facebook could see for themselves. Because of that, PostSnag can store this public post data and reuse it elsewhere in the product, rather than keeping it as an exclusive copy walled off to your account alone. That is not the same as selling your data (see Does PostSnag sell my data? for that distinction), and it is not the same as Discovery becoming a feed you browse of other users' tracked creators. It is a fact about how PostSnag stores public post data, separate from how your own Discovery page is scoped.

What stays private to your account

• Your account details. Your email, your password or Google sign-in identifier, and your plan status are visible only to you. See Does PostSnag sell my data? for the fuller picture.
• Your Bookmarks and Folders. What you save and how you organize it is visible only to you.
• Your own research. Any notes, exports, or Folders you build from a profile's or group's data stay tied to your account.

Where your captured posts go

Scrolling a profile or a group with the PostSnag extension captures posts locally, to your own browser. Nothing reaches PostSnag's servers until you click Export To Dashboard. From that point, your own Overview, Profiles, Posts, and Discovery all work from the creators and groups in your library, and the public post data itself becomes part of what PostSnag stores and can reuse elsewhere, since it was already public. Separating Discovery from public data reuse

It helps to keep two different things apart: the Discovery page you see, and what happens to public post data behind the scenes. Discovery itself stays scoped to you. It only studies the creators and groups in your own account, and two accounts tracking different creators see two different Discovery pages; capturing a profile does not make it appear in anyone else's Discovery page. The public post data behind a capture works differently: because it is public content, PostSnag can store and reuse it elsewhere in the product. That is a backend fact about public data, not a change to what your own Discovery page shows you.

Does Discovery show posts from creators I haven't captured?

No. Discovery's patterns are built only from the creators and groups you track yourself. Posts from profiles you have not captured do not factor into your Discovery page.
