PostSnag emails you a receipt automatically every time you're charged, whether that's your first payment or a monthly Pro renewal. That receipt comes from Lemon Squeezy, PostSnag's payment processor and merchant of record, not from PostSnag directly.
Where to find your receipts
Check the inbox tied to your PostSnag account for an email from Lemon Squeezy each time you pay. If a search for "PostSnag" doesn't turn it up, search for "Lemon Squeezy" instead, since that's the sender name on the email. That email is your receipt and works as your payment record, including for expense reports.
For a full billing history, or to find a receipt you've misplaced, open the customer portal link inside any receipt or renewal email.
What's on a PostSnag receipt
Each receipt covers a single charge, and shows the plan it's for (Pro or Lifetime), the amount charged, the date, and that it was processed through Lemon Squeezy. Keep the email itself, or pull the same details from the customer portal's payment history if you need them again later.
Why your statement might say "Lemon Squeezy," not "PostSnag"
If you're reconciling a card statement or expense report, look for Lemon Squeezy as the line item, not "PostSnag." Because Lemon Squeezy is PostSnag's merchant of record, it's the name your bank actually shows for the charge, and it's also the entity responsible for any sales tax or VAT due on the purchase, which is reflected on the receipt it emails you. This trips people up when they're matching a card statement to a bookkeeping entry, so it's worth flagging to anyone else handling your books.
Receipt vs. invoice
A receipt and an invoice cover the same purchase, just formatted differently. The Lemon Squeezy receipt you get by email is proof of payment and is enough for most bookkeeping and expense-report needs. If you specifically need an invoice with added business details, use the option below.
Finding a receipt for a specific past payment
Open the customer portal link from any receipt or renewal email you still have.
Look through the billing history there for the specific charge, for example a particular month's Pro renewal.
If you can't locate it, email support@postsnag.com with the approximate date and support can help track it down.
Need a customized invoice
If you need an invoice formatted a specific way, for example with your company name, billing address, or a tax ID added, email support@postsnag.com with the details and support will put one together for you. This is common for agencies that need to bill a PostSnag subscription through to a client as a pass-through expense.
Pro vs Lifetime receipts
Pro generates a new receipt every month, at each renewal. Lifetime generates exactly one receipt, for the single $139 charge, since it never renews. See How do billing and renewals work? for the full mechanics of how each plan bills.
Common questions
Can I use my Lemon Squeezy receipt for a company expense report?
Yes. The receipt emailed at purchase works as your payment record. Use the customer portal link for any additional billing history you need.
What if I never received a receipt email?
Check spam or promotions folders first. If it's still missing, email support@postsnag.com and support can help track it down.
Does PostSnag or Lemon Squeezy issue the receipt?
Lemon Squeezy issues it, as PostSnag's payment processor and merchant of record.
Can I get an invoice with my company's billing details on it?
Yes, email support@postsnag.com with what you need and support will prepare a customized invoice.
Will I get a new receipt every time Pro renews?
Yes, one for every monthly charge. Lifetime is the opposite: a single receipt, once, since there's no renewal after it.
My card statement says "Lemon Squeezy." Is that really my PostSnag charge?
Yes. Lemon Squeezy is PostSnag's merchant of record, so it's the name that appears on your statement and on the receipt email for every PostSnag payment.
