How does exporting work on Free vs paid?

PostSnag exports the same way on every plan: all four formats, both the Export dropdown and multi-select, both free to use, with no separate export fee and no limit on how many times you export. Free: your export matches the 30-post preview

On the Free plan, each profile scan previews the first 30 posts in your dashboard, with anything beyond that blurred behind a subscribe or upgrade wall. Your export follows the same line: it covers the 30 posts you can see, not the ones sitting blurred behind the wall. A profile with 200 posts on Facebook still exports as 30 rows of CSV or 30 sections of Markdown while you're on Free.

You also get 3 profile scans total to work with, no weekly reset, and group scanning is limited on Free (unlimited on Pro and Lifetime). Once you're out of profile scans, exporting the profiles and groups you've already captured still works the same way; the total just controls how many new profiles or groups you can scan.

This isn't a separate export limit stacked on top of the preview. Exporting doesn't cap anything on its own; it just can't include posts that are still sitting behind the paywall. Every export format and both ways of triggering one, the Export dropdown and multi-select, work exactly the same on Free as they do on Pro or Lifetime, just against a smaller pool of unblurred posts.

Posts blurred behind the Free plan's 30-post preview are already sitting in your dashboard. Upgrading removes the blur, and your next export reflects the full history right away, no rescan needed:

1. Upgrade to Pro or Lifetime. See How do I upgrade to Pro or Lifetime?
2. Open the profile or group that previously showed blurred posts. The blur should be gone; give it a minute if the page still shows Free limits right after checkout.
3. Use the Export dropdown or multi-select on the profile, group, or Posts page and choose a format. The file now reflects everything visible in your dashboard, not just the old 30-post preview.
4. If you also want posts further back than what you originally captured, scroll through the profile or group again on Facebook, then export again.

A worked example

Say a Page has 80 posts on Facebook and you scan it on the Free plan, scrolling through its full history. Your dashboard shows the first 30 posts normally and blurs the other 50 behind a subscribe or upgrade wall, so exporting that profile on Free gives you a 30-row CSV, even though 80 posts were captured. After upgrading to Pro, you open that same profile: the blur is gone, all 80 posts are visible, and exporting again gives you a complete 80-row CSV, with no rescan needed.

Group exports follow the same idea

A group's own export offers the same four formats as a profile export, Markdown, CSV, Media only, and Data plus media, scoped to everyone captured in that group.
