Getting to a group's detail page

  1. Sign in to your dashboard and click Groups in the left sidebar.
  2. From either the Groups tab or the Profiles by group tab, click into any group's card. See How do Facebook Groups work in PostSnag? for what each tab on the Groups page shows.
  3. You'll land on that group's detail page.

What's at the top of a group's page

The group's name, its description if it has one, a View group on Facebook link that opens the real group in a new tab, and an Export button for downloading its captured posts. It's disabled with a message explaining there's nothing to export if the group has no posts yet. See How do I export a Facebook Group's posts?.

Underneath, a stats row shows captured posts, tracked profiles, total engagement, and group size, followed by three tabs: Posts, Profiles, and Analytics.

Posts tab

Every post captured from this group, each card showing its creator, its type, how long ago it went out, and its engagement. Search posts or creators, filter by type (photo, reel, album, link, or text), and sort by group feed order, most engagement, most recent, most likes, most comments, or most shares. Switch between a grid or list view, and bookmark, export, or save any post right from its card.

Profiles tab

Every member profile you've tracked from this group, searchable, each showing its own post count so you can see who's most active at a glance. Click any profile to open their full profile detail page, the same way you'd open anyone on your Profiles page.

Analytics tab

The full breakdown of what's working inside this group:

  • A top-creators leaderboard, ranked by engagement, with a crown marking whoever's in first place.
  • Content mix, how this group's captured posts split across reels, photos, albums, links, and text.
  • Engagement composition, the likes, comments, and shares split by post type.
  • Posting activity, when this group's posts actually went out, by day of the week.
  • Common reel durations and a long-versus-short reel split, if the group has reels captured.
  • Best time to post, with a plain-language takeaway on when this group's posts land hardest, not just when it posts most.

If too few posts have been captured yet, the tab shows a message explaining there's not enough data instead of charts.

Your biggest groups also show up in Overview

Your dashboard's Overview, the home screen, includes a Biggest groups list ranked by how many profiles you've pulled from each, with a link back to the full Groups page. It's a quick way to see which group is your richest source without opening each one. See What is the Overview dashboard?.

Getting from a group to a member's own profile

Clicking a profile card, on the group's Profiles tab or on the Groups page's Profiles by group tab, opens that person's normal profile detail page. From there, use the Sources filter to switch between viewing their posts from this group, their personal posts, or both at once. See Why are group posts kept separate from personal posts?.
